J.P. Riemens book launch, Sun Sept 29 from 3 to 5 pm

Sunday September 29, 2019, from 3 to 5 pm, $10 (includes a free cd). Singer-songwriter J.P. Riemens reads from his new book Slightly Below the Surface, and sings some songs from his cds.
Slightly Below the Surface is the story about a life journey, spanning over 60 years under the watchful eye of the 250 year old spirit, Elizabeth Watts. The Boy is born on the hundredth anniversary of her death in 1856. She had been a teacher in the old schoolhouse where he grew up and currently resides. Beginning in rural Ontario in the 1960’s, the Boy discovers his calling to be a songwriter. In his early teens, he leaves his isolated rural home and hitchhikes across Canada with his guitar and encounters a variety of characters that shape his future.
Copies of the book will be for sale.
