Sunday June 7, 2015, at 7 pm, $10. Singer-songwriter-pianist Hanna Bech presents a concert of her new songs, with cellist Geoff Ball and harpist Rachel Nolan, the first time all the songs are being showcased together. Hanna Bech is an “elegant, funny and passionate” storyteller with song. She likens her songs to a “a musical seascape where poetry loves deeply, stories soar sublimely, and our turtle hearts trump fear with laughter: vulnerable vibes in a confident cadence.”
Opening set by singer-songwriter Bob Edmonds accompanied by his partner Michelle on piano. His music grafts Celtic ballads to blues and roots, to create a wide variety of playful tunes. His song ‘Carry On’ formed a central piece of the May concert by Hamilton Sings! Community Choir, and will also play a part in celebrations around the upcoming PanAm Games.
Plus a guest set by The Folk (formerly known as What the Folk), Hamilton’s popular a capella group performing music from the heart of Ontario to the East Coast of Canada, and across the British Isles. The Folk is well-known for rousing harmonies, thrilling a capella songs, foot-stomping instrumental tunes, and various blends thereof.
