PauLakeRoadStringBandcFriday September 20 at 8 pm, cover tba: Folk-country band Paug Lake Road: Sharon Coward (lead vocals, guitar, fiddle); Katie Hurdon (backing vocals, ukulele, various rattles); Ingrid Lucy-Weinhold (banjo, backing vocals); Matt Aston (drums), and Max Ferderber (bass and swaggar). Paug Lake Road is a road that runs north of Barry’s Bay, an area dotted with lakes and full of winding roads, Dan_Belguehills, and frogs who for some reason hop wildly across the dirt roads at night. http://www.pauglakeroad.com/home.cfm
Opening set by Dan Belgue, a folk musician from the KW/Guelph area. He plays clawhammer banjo, acoustic guitar, and writes songs. Driven by solid, rythmic instrumentation and thoughtful lyrics, Dan has developed his own unique brand of acoustic ‘Canadiana’ that blends elements from a wide array of influences including folk, bluegrass, old time, and blues music. Dan plays and travels throughout Canada extensively and is a frequent collaborator with a number of musicians. He is the other half of The Blackwood Two, with fiddler and vocalist Megan McCaffrey.      http://danbelgue.ca/
