Jazz with Mike Malone, Bob Shields, Jay Burr, Sat July 6

Saturday July 6 at 8 pm $10 / students $5. Jazz with Mike Malone trumpet and flugelhorn, Bob Shields guitar, Jay Burr tuba. The trio will be playing a mixture of their own material along with some jazz standards. Trumpeter Mike Malone, tuba player Jay Burr and guitarist Bob Shields are veterans of Canada’s Jazz scene. Each member has led bands, composed for, and recorded with many of Canada’s finest musicians. Mike Malone is currently leader of the Mike Malone Jazz Orchestra. Jay Burr has just recorded with The Mike Downs Group, and co leads his own group and Bob Shields has just finished arranging for and performing with The Sue Ramsay Trio, and is currently working on another installment for the Shields Johnston Fielding group.
