Jug Band / Old Timey Night, Wed June 20, at 8:30

Wednesday June 20 at 8:30 pm (after Science Cafe), a foot-stomping night of jug band music with the Griffintown Jug Addicts, that is, three of them: Dan Livingstone (fingerstyle blues guitarist), Brad Levia (washboard) and Julia Narveson (washtub). http://danlivingstone.com/jug.html  “Drawing inspiration from ‘jug’ bands of the 1930s and 40s (a blues style mixing ragtime, swing and folk music), the group re-creates the ambiance of that lost era in music when simplicity and fun were paramount to the making of music.”
