Concert: singer-pianists Jeffery Straker and Paisley Jura, Fri June 29

Friday June 29 at 8 pm, $10, at Artword Artbar. Two solo acts Jeffery Straker and Paisley Jura, both singing their songs and playing our piano.
Jeffery Straker is a singer-pianist in the vein of Sarah Slean, Harry Chapin, early Elton. Jeffery tours extensively (about 120 shows a year – coast to coast). His shows range from solo to full band. He debuted at the National Arts Centre last year (Ottawa), recently came back from a tour in Africa (Ghana), and had his debut with a symphony in Oct 2011 (Regina SK).  His last album was released in June 2011 and he has a new one launching Sept 2012. http://jeffstraker.com/
Paisley Jura was nominated for a Juno this year and is also a singer-pianist. She also performs on double bass and guitar in her sets. She has an album out with a song that is getting extensive radio play in Canada right now including CBC.  http://www.paisleyjura.com/
