Concert: Kojo “Easy” Damptey, evening of soul music, Friday Jan 20

KojoEasy_700.jpgFriday January 20, 2012, at 8 pm, $8 advance $10 at door. An evening of soul music with Kojo “Easy” Damptey and his band, celebrating his new EP. Opening set is by singer-songwriter Tafadwa Mzofa of the African acapella group “Voices of the Savannah”.
Kojo “Easy” Damptey is a music producer, song writer, keyboardist, and composer. His music deals with the ups and downs of life and the struggles everyday people face. With honest lyrics and a groove based on his love for hip-hop and reggae his music is bound to make you move and listen. In 2011 he released “Broken Promises” a song dedicated to all the women around the world who are survivors of domestic violence.  The release of the song notched him a nomination for the R&B/Soul Record of the year at the 2011 Hamilton Music Awards.
