Join Solstice for an evening in the tropic islands as they share with you their Lil_Acevedo_America.jpgCuban, Brazilian,and Spanish music. With special guest vocalist Lil America (from El Salvador via Cuba).
Solstice was recently formed by four veteran musicians: Javier Martinez: Singer, and former musical entertainment director, Hotel las Brisas Guardalavca , Cuba. Julian Reynolds: bass player from Buenos Aires and a veteran of many cruise tours with Argentina’s top pianist. Dave Aldham: bongos, congas, one of Ontario’s top percussionists for last 40 years, performed in Cuba for the last 10 years. George Kairy: studied with Justin Perchin, one of Cuba’s top jazz guitarists and Miguel la Batistde, North America’s top flamenco guitarist, and performed internationally for many years. Having just completed some new recordings of Batacha, Cumbia and Merengue and Salsa rhythms, this diversified band promises to prove what Caliente is all about!
