Concert: The Acoustics world/roots concert, Sep 25

Saturday, September 25, 8:00 pm at Artword Artbar, 15 Colbourne St. Tickets $10. The Acoustics are back at Artword Artbar! A lively five-piece instrumental ensemble playing world/roots music with a  Mediterranean and Latin sound. Alfonso Spoto accordion; Enzo Spoto, lead and rhythm guitar; Brian Ropcean, percussion; Bonnie Krenciglowa, violin; Andrew Eckart, double bass.
The Acoustics’ recent CD Forever and a Day came in second place for World Album of the year at the 2009, JPF Music Awards, in Nashville TN. They also had two major category nominations for the 2009 Hamilton Music Awards, Folk/Traditional Recording of the year and Instrumental Recording of the year.
