Soirée Frenchkiss: A concert hosted by the Centre Français de Hamilton, with three francophone bands: Amélie & Les Singes Bleus (multi-genre band from Toronto), Moonfruits (folk duo from Québec) and Le R 1er, (a rapper from Benin via Québec). This event is part of the City of Hamilton’s Winterfest.

Le R 1er: Rapper Le R 1er (Christian Djohossou), a nomadic spirit with a raw talent, blends rhythm and poetry. The rapper and composer merges Western sounds with the percussive world of authentic African instruments. Through the poetry of his sensitive lyrics, he creates a universe that fascinates and seduces. His title The City of 333 Saints won the Radio-Canada Trille Or award for song. Esprit nomade au talent brut, Le R 1er, de son vrai nom Christian Djohossou, mêle véritablement rythme et poésie.
