Jazz: Chris Wallace’s Many Names Trio, Friday March 31

Chris_Wallace_cFriday March 31, 2017, at 8 pm, $15 / $10 students. A return visit from Chris Wallace‘s Many Names Trio: Adrean Farrugia on piano, Artie Roth on bass, Chris Wallace on drums. This top shelf trio will be playing classic jazz standards and modern compositions by the likes of Herbie Hancock, Esbjorn Svensson, Miles Davis, Mulgrew Miller and others.
Chris Wallace, a drummer and composer originally from Regina, lived a decade in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he became a central figure in the Scottish jazz community. Chris is now based in Toronto. Best known for his work with the trios NeWt (Scottish Jazz Ensemble of the year 2012) and Breach, Chris also released his own quartet album Looking Glass under the band name Loose Grip. Just before leaving Scotland, he formed the Chris Wallace Quintet and recorded the album Identity which is now available for digital download.
