Melissa Greener, singer-songwriter from Nashville, Wed Feb 1, 2017

Wednesday February 1, 2017, at 8 pm, by donation $10/$5 students. Singer-songwriter Melissa Greener special concert! Melissa writes: “I am a Nashville based folk-rock crooner, singer-songwriter. Corin Raymond is a friend of mine who suggested I reach out about booking a show at the Artword Artbar. I’ve looked at your website and love your mission! I will be touring solo, but I’m not your average ‘girl with a guitar’. I play an electric hollowbody through a big dirty amplifier with lots of effects, in a vast sonic-wash that supports lyric-driven contemporary folk songs. I’ve been touring internationally for more than a decade playing clubs, theaters and festivals. I have released four full-length albums of original songs and a 5th is on the way. I’ve won some songwriting awards, and I was also a cast member on the syndicated tv series Troubadour TX. I was also good friends and co-writers with the great Guy Clark in the last years of his life.”
