JAZZ: Brad Cheeseman CD Release, Fri Sept 22

Friday September 22, 2017 at 8 pm, $10. Hamilton bassist/composer Brad Cheeseman presents music from his new album The Tide Turns. With: Robert Chapman (guitar), Kelly Jefferson (tenor sax), Sam Kogen (piano/keys), Marito Marques (drums), and special guest Adrean Farrugia (piano). The Tide Turns is Brad Cheeseman’s second full-length album, recorded after winning the Montreal Jazz Festival’s coveted Grand Prix de Jazz. The album features nine contemporary jazz tracks—eight of which are new original compositions from Cheeseman—performed by frequent collaborators Robert Chapman, Sam Kogen and Marito Marques, as well as JUNO-winning saxophonist Kelly Jefferson.
