The Vagabond Duet brings you cello, harp and two voices. Things are hard and there is beauty in music and that matters.
Music will include original arrangements of 60s & 70s folk, contemporary alternative, and oh, some early 18th century and/or late 19th century genius most likely. And original songs, music for rage, hope and love. Geoff Ball: cello, guitar, voice; Rachel Nolan: pedal harp, lever harp, voice.

Singer-songwriter Carissa Kimbell is performing original songs from her new album Like Water, with Andrew Aldridge on lead guitar.

Like Water is Carissa Kimbell’s debut EP and features a collection of six songs reflecting the journey of deep self-discovery. The songs explore our relationship to water, a psychological symbol of that which is subconscious or hidden. Like Water offers honest and heartfelt songs about one woman’s experience and choice to swim in the waters of Self in search of freedom and control.

The award-winning Nick Maclean Quartet makes Artword Artbar the second stop of their September tour. Led by 26-year-old fast-rising piano star Nick Maclean, this contemplative and often thrilling quartet explores modern jazz in the vein of 60’s Blue Note era Herbie Hancock. The quartet features Brownman Ali, internationally acclaimed jazz trumpet iconoclast: “Canada’s preeminent jazz trumpet player” (NYC Village Voice).
