Sunday March 19, 2017, from 2 to 4 pm. Come listen to stories! In honour of World Storytelling Day, members of The Burlington Storytellers’ Guild tell Stories of Transformation. The tellers are Barb Vollick, Marina Lloyd, Suzanne Burchell, Bob Tadman, with two sets of stories in a coffee-house setting.

Spend an evening hearing the music of Sufjan Stevens, delightfully reimagined and rearranged for an all-instrumental band of great local musicians, headed by bassist/composer Brad Cheeseman (2016 TD Grand Prix de Jazz winner). Friday March 17, 2017, at 8 pm, $15 / $10 students. Jazz with the Adrean Farrugia Trio featuring violinist Drew Jurecka. Adrean Farrugia piano, Drew Jurecka violin/vocals, Clark Johnston bass.
Drew Jurecka, violinist, has spent ten years playing jazz in Toronto, and has become an in-demand sideman and session player. He has played, written or arranged on more than 150 records, including several Juno winning and Grammy nominated albums. Drew spent 5 years on the road with Jeff Healey, and now plays as part of Jill Barber’s band. He has also written and arranged for Jill’s records, and produced her last two records.
Award-winning pianist Adrean Farrugia has been featured on more than 30 albums to date garnering multiple Juno awards and nominations and has performed internationally across Canada, the United States, Japan, France, Germany, Poland, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Israel, and Australia. Artword Theatre presents Mind Wars: a theatre exploration about the 1960s, when politics became a struggle over reality and perception. Readings from actual testimony and interviews bring back the Yippies vs the CIA, Black Activists vs the FBI, brainwashing, mind control and propaganda of the era. Conceived and assembled by director Ronald Weihs. Performed by Pamela Gardner, Tom Dusome, Howard Jerome, Tamara Buckland and Learie Mc Nicolls. This is the second in a series of theatre projects in the works, with Artistic Director Ronald Weihs. Saturday March 11, 2017, at 8 pm, free. Grito de Mujer (Woman Scream) is a night of music and poetry that is part of the Woman Scream International Poetry Festival celebrated in March of each year. The night is dedicated to raising 
awareness about violence against women and girls. There will be poetry and music. The poets include: Amaluna, Constanza Duran, Angie C., Edith Chávez, Klyde Broox, Kelsey Knight, Violeta San Juan, Tania Pineda.
