Since completing her studies at Humber College in Toronto, Sophia Perlman has become a fixture of the Ontario jazz and blues scene. Her musicality, old-soul voice and skill as an improviser have made her a first-call featured singer with some of the top ensembles and musicians in the country. In addition to performing and touring with her own quartet, she is found performing regularly with numerous artists and ensembles, including Adrean Farrugia, The Toronto Jazz Orchestra, The Darcy Hepner Jazz Orchestra, The Toronto Rhythm Initiative, The Vipers, and Chuck Jackson’s Big Bad Blues Band. http://www.sophiaperlman.com/

Multi-award winning pianist and composer Adrean Farrugia is one of Canada’s most distinct voices on the piano. Fusing many diverse musical influences he has forged a personal sound which generates a uniquely individual creative statement. As a vehicle for his skills as a composer, pianist and band leader, Adrean formed the ensemble RICOCHET in 2008. The band released their self-titled debut recording in 2010 on the main stage at the Toronto International Jazz festival. Since the album has received expansive radio play across Canada as well critical acclaim nationwide and has been nominated for a JUNO award (Canada’s GRAMMY’s) for best Contemporary Jazz Recording of 2011. Adrean won a JUNO award in 2008 for best Traditional Jazz Recording (Debut, Brandi Disterheft) and a Hamilton Music Award in 2010 for Pianist of the Year. http://adreanfarrugia.com/
