Multi-award-winning Celtic band The Outside Track is touring Canada with a new CD, and Artword Artbar is their Hamilton stop! Hailing from Scotland, Ireland and Cape Breton, the five members are united by a love of traditional music. * Mairi Rankin, from Cape Breton, one of the legendary Rankin Family, plays fiddle, sings and also step-dances up a storm.
* Teresa Horgan, from Co. Cork, sings and plays flute.
* Ailie Robertson, from Edinburgh, is one of Scotland’s leading young traditional musicians and clarsach (celtic harp) virtuoso.
* Fiona Black plays accordion, intertwining her native Scottish style with Irish, Swedish and Cape Breton repertoire.
* Simon Marion, from Montreal, plays guitar on the Ontario tour.

Winner of Best Group in both the Live Ireland awards and the Tradition In Review awards, The Outside Track are one of the top Celtic acts in the world. They were Best Live Act nominees in the 2013 MG Alba Scots Traditional Music Awards, and won the German Radio Critics Prize 2014, for their latest album Flash Company. Live Ireland called them: “Among the top bands in the world – stunning on every cut!”
