Comments Off on SwingLine Big Band filling in for MOJO, Sat Nov 11

Saturday November 11, 2017, 8 pm, $15. Filling in for MOJO (who had to cancel) is the wonderful SwingLine band (The Little Big Band). Band Members: Darren Blundell-sax, Urmas Soomet-bass, Shari Vandermolen-vocals, Ray Chantler-trumpet, Don Hall-sax, Pat Lundy-sax, Tom Wallace-trombone, Wayne Allison-drums, Barry Smallbone-guitar.

RADIO Dial Trio (Stuart Laughton, Rebecca Campbell, Martin Worthy), Thurs Nov. 2

October 6th, 2017
Comments Off on RADIO Dial Trio (Stuart Laughton, Rebecca Campbell, Martin Worthy), Thurs Nov. 2
Thursday November 2, 2017, at 8 pm, $15. Stuart Laughton’s RADIO DIAL band performs for the first time as an acoustic trio. Stuart Laughton (vocals + many instruments), Rebecca Campbell (vocals) and Martin Worthy (guitar, drums, vocals) bring you an evening of beautiful vocal and instrumental harmonies.  www.radiodial.ca
The Trio will be joined by rising star Jeff McLeod on piano and B3 organ. (http://jeffmcleodmusic.com).
What is Radio Dial? Stuart scours the radio waves for interesting music, and brings a similarly eclectic presentation to the stage. It helps that he sings and plays a dozen instruments, and that he injects his contagious enthusiasm into a kaleidoscopic amalgam of 1920’s Broadway, country blues and 60’s pop instrumental hits, B.B. King guitar, Moe Koffman flute and Chet Baker’s jazz trumpet, country, Celtic, rockabilly and his own songs about Canada.
